This week I updated Ask the Floating Cat to use a more up-to-date photo of Cheetoe. I prefer the new look, but I still need to add some small animations and design changes.
Having the photo projects start on Friday and end on essentially Thursday isn’t the best fit for my photography style. I prefer having a week to think of the project, with the weekend being the catch-up days if I need them. Oh well, go check out my “Junk” photos. I’m fairly happy with them.
This week we had to put the original Floating Cat, Dusty, to sleep. She was over 16 years old and spent the last couple of years living at my parent’s house. She will be missed.
I also took photos this week, Self Portrait. I’m not happy with the results, but at least I took them.
Jessica and I started taking photos again this week. We got our topic for this week from Photo Friday. This Friday’s topic is Atmosphere.
I also updated the Photography section to use PHP with my database. This should allow me to present photos in different listings than just plain HTML layouts.
With no weekly photos to keep the content flowing, the site has started to get stale. I had planned on adding more content, but I’ve been busy these past months with something that I haven’t been able to talk about until now.
I’ve been a Alpha tester for Blizzard’s upcoming game World of Warcraft. Now that the Alpha NDA is listed, and the Beta has started, I can finally start talking about the game if I wanted. Needless to say, WoW has been an extremely fun time sink for the past few weeks.
Well the final week of photos has been posted. This weeks topic: Western. We’ll be taking a break from taking photos as we have just completed our year-long effort of photo projects.
We spent the past week visiting Jessica’s family in Michigan. Temperatures ranged from -3 to 20 degrees. Needless to say it was cold, and made for excellent winter photos.
Have you asked the Floating Cat any important questions today?
